Emails began on Dec. 9, 1998, and the public announcement was May 20, 2000. These are emails sent directly to Marge, and only a small sampling is shared here at this time. Some of them are very personal, so it is a matter of sorting out through the hundreds of correspondences what is appropriate to share publicly, and what is not. "The Great Revolution is coming as I have predicted. Change is nothing new. It is a law of nature. What is born must die and what dies must be born. The human being is enslaved to his lower nature. I have come to lead human beings to a higher path. Attach yourself to God. Be brave and always walk on. Prepare to walk into the fire. There will be many mountains to cross, but do not stop until the goal is reached. Be strong. I am Here.

"Everything is possible through the repetition of my mantra. You know this.  I have told you that it is more powerful than the atomic bomb. Why do you question it. You ask when I am coming and I say I am here already. I have never left. Only when you forget me am I gone. I am Bhole Baba. I am nobody and nothing. I am only like a mirror in which you can see yourself. I am like fire. Don't keep too far away or you will not get the warmth. Remember when you tested positive for sugar in the blood and how the next test was negative. You chanted Om Namah Shivaya. You called out my name. I was there as I am here.

"Note: Now this caught my attention, as the last time I was in India (fall of 1995) I had a blood test that was indicating I could be diabetic. By the end of the trip, I was re-tested (after going through Hairakhan and Navaratri, praying so hard I could hardly believe it!!) and everything was fine. He is correct here--I chanted Om Namah Shivaya and I called out Babaji's Name, in my heart and no one else knew that... This is when I started to think about that it could possibly be Him-- how would anyone else know this?
Then my mind started working on the fact that any time I have "met up" with Babaji, it resulted in an assignment. In 1982, the assignment was to build an ashram here on this land, and I took it seriously. In fact, I had made up my mind that I would follow that assignment, given in Babaji's own voice, when I visited Him, until He gave me a new assignment (and that, too, would have to be a 'physical contact,' not a dream or vision or channeling).

I don't trust that stuff enough to do an assignment I would receive in that way. Of course He KNEW that about me. For me, email is very "physical". Someone is sitting somewhere TYPING, after all! Even though it is impossible to TRACE where a person is, there IS a PERSON typing and sending--SOMEWHERE!!! As I see it. I didn't feel like I was "special." No time for that-- I felt like there was some assignment coming up and I wanted to know what it was...."

"Dear Shri Babaji,
Thank you for the answer to my questions. I also would like to know if I can share your emails with any other interested and sincere devotees who are wanting more contact with you. Do you want their email addresses? Or do you prefer I make the emails "public" through the website or our newsletter? I want your permission before I start sharing. I really want your guidance about this so I do what is best for all concerned. Also, when you have time please let me know if I am still on the same assignment you gave me in 1982, or if that is changed. I have a son now, and I must devote a lot of time to him.... you know the story, but I want to know from you what is the best for me to do in the daily life. I'm preparing for the Maha Kranti as I am inspired to do; if there is more, please tell me directly. The subtleties are hard for me to discern sometimes..

"I am timeless. I never sleep. I am here and I was there and I will be. This is but one planet among billions and billions. Sentient beings abound throughout the universe throughout many dimensions of time and space. I am everywhere helping and serving. This is my purpose. My message is Truth,Simplicity and Love. This is how you are to live in the body. This is how you are to have equanimity of the mind. And you must serve by working. Idleness is laziness and laziness is death. Do not be mislead. Preparing for the Great Revolution is not in the store of food or money or water or wood. It is in the store of Truth,Simplicity and Love.

Attach yourself to God. Unconditionally. Chant. Call to me in your need. And thus you will survive the Great Change. This is my message to all here. This is my message to all sentient beings throughout all dimensions. All must face the Great Revolution. Change is force of creation. We must all face it. Even Babaji. I am Bhole Baba. I am here."

"Now I am really freaking out... I had just ordered a small supply of storable food that day, and I hadn't told ANYONE-- not even Angelo. I just felt like it was something I should do and I went to the bank and got a money order for it, so in essence, the BANK knew I was sending money to a company... (was Babaji working in the bank in Malmo? I don't think so!!!)

This is only to DAY TWO of this adventure.... I won't be writing the whole book into the emails, but I am giving you a taste of the beginning of this process. Each time I receive a message, my first thought is: "Is this in alignment with Babaji's teachings?" Not one message has ever been off track in over 200 email messages received to this date. All have expanded my notions about how to live on the Higher Path. Some scold me or "straighten me out" as only Babaji could do!! ALL ARE FILLED WITH LIGHT! STAY TUNED!!!!

"Dear Friends, Om Namah Shivaya
Since Saturday, when I shared the Emails with you, there has been a whirlwind (more like a tornado!) of activity around here. When that happens, I can't spend any time with the computer, except to read email, forward some, and just do basic maintenance. Sunday was my niece's graduation and guests visiting here. Monday was Fire Ceremony and photo shoot in the Gift Shop. Today, I thought I had a pretty free morning to write up more adventures, but a family with a child Nate's age just arrived. Angelo is giving the parents a tour of the grounds and the temple. HOPEFULLY, I will get through this whole email while they all keep each other happily occupied!!

The major questions about the emails so far:
1. What is Babaji's email address? I want to write to Him too.
2. Couldn't it be someone playing a joke on you?
3. Let's get someone to trace the source of the email so we can all go visit Him!!

Answers:
1. Babaji has requested that the email address is not public. I'll just send you what He sent me on this subject:"

...Explain that all communication will pass through you because this body will not be worn out as it was last time. I have chosen you because of your selfless SERVICE and your desire to walk on the HIGH PATH. Change now comes to you rapidly. This will be a burden on your heart, but from this you will emerge a bright beacon of LIGHT. BE ALERT. BE AWARE

"2. If it's someone playing a joke on me (Babaji always plays jokes), they are TRICKING me into doing my best to implement the teachings of truth, simplicity, love, service and living on the higher path. I think that's a pretty cool joke!

3. The whole point of why He chose the internet to communicate is so the concentration will be on the TEACHINGS, not the TEACHER. He said He only takes a body to promote the teachings every time. When in Hairakhan from 1970 to 1984, His only intention was to get people to follow the teachings. Instead, very FEW people have followed the teachings and chosen to live on the HIGHER PATH. Most are just looking for the next body to hang out with. (I can confirm this from the HUNDREDS of emails I receive. When people read the stories on the website, they write to me: "Where is He now? I want to see Him like you did! If you can do it, I can do it.")

This time He refuses to have the body destroyed by people who are with Him for the wrong reasons. (Remember how He'd say "I have come only to give. Very few want what I have to give...etc." He was talking about living on the Higher Path.) He wants us to concentrate on the teachings and
implement them in our lives and get off this idea of finding Babaji just to be with Him and take His energy. This also puts everyone on an even playing field. We can't go into "Well, he or she was with Baba..." It's not about "being with Baba." It's about LIVING THE TEACHINGS! Paste that one on the
fridge, please!!!"

February 14, 1999, Babaji sent this email, which explains it better than I can:"On

"I am no-thing. I am no-body. Fifteen years ago I left that body, worn by the problems and emptiness of all who sought me out to solve those problems. They wore the body down and that is why I left it. I have taught humans how to solve their problems. Few have listened. Now I try again in a different way to impart my message to those who will listen. Understand?

If you live in truth,simplicity and love and if your purpose is to serve, then the black hole,the emptiness that cannot be filled with money, power or knowledge, will no longer be a cause of your bitter sadness. Nothing will stop it. Not intoxicants, not relationships, not material things, not power, not scholarship, not wealth, no-thing will stop the endless wheel of maya from spinning round and round, over and over, cycle after cycle of unending misery,sadness and emptiness. But Truth will stop it. Simplicity will stop it. Love will stop it. Service will stop it.

That is my message on this anniversary of maha samadhi. In this body, I will not let it be worn by the problems of the many. I will let it inspire the few to transmit the teachings and let them serve as a beacon of hope for humanity.

"Now, believe me, it was not easy for me to get off this idea of wanting to see the body. I believe it was about FOUR MONTHS into this campaign that I was still on it... I asked for at least a phone call to hear the voice. I asked for all kinds of things.... I kept reminding Him there is a whole suite of rooms He can live in here... you name it!

Each time, He would patiently write back "Pinda kacha, sabda sacha..." The first time He wrote this I had to get out my "Speeches" book and look it up to know what it meant: (The body is perishable; the word is eternal.) Then He said: "Remember this phrase and STUDY IT!!" I have had my share of "scoldings" about MANY things, but always with great love coming with it.

At this point, I am feeling it is extremely SELFISH of me to keep asking to be with the body. It is HIS choice. He gives us unconditional love, it is available at all times. He tells us to just call out His name in times of distress, repeat the mahamantra... The only time He is not with us is when we forget about Him. Getting to the point of accepting that and doing the inner work necessary to make it a reality is OUR task, not HIS!

He says He purposely chose a very fragile but intelligent body this time so that it would be impossible to be with people who had not chosen the Higher Path and who had not been through the great fire of Purification. He said the few will walk through the Fire of Purification, and He will be waiting for us on the other side. I'm giving you a synopsis at the moment, but the full details will be in the book.

I welcome your prayers and healing thoughts, as there is so much energy coursing through here right now. I'm having a hard time keeping up with it all. The daily duties of dishes, laundry, cleaning, picking up toys, taking care of Nate every minute, and all the rest are still the same. The email has trippled. The outdoor work this time of year gets pretty intense. Staying focused and calmly going about the daily task is the challenge these days. I have heard about this intensity from many people-- must be all these planetary energies and all, huh?

We keep a candle burning in our Temple for all who are choosing the Higher Path. We really can be a great support to each other through this Internet communication system that Babaji has tipped us off to!! Please let me know if you have other questions, and I will do my best to answer. We appreciate your contributions that will ease our load in carrying this energy.

An empty black hole. Nothing. No-thing. Misery and attachment to the lower self is the result of this futile attempt to fill the black hole. You see? Change is the Law of Nature. Change is difficult for the Ego to accept. People would have Babaji keep one body. How is that possible? The body is temporary. The mind cannot accept that. It cannot accept the end of the body, so it tries to make a God out of the body. But if I kept the body, this the mind would not also accept, and the result would be that many would take this body and shred it to pieces.

There is a great darkness descending upon this world. Do not be deceived by the good news. The few seek control over the many. You must be strong. You must think for yourselves. BE
ALERT. BE AWARE. The arrogance of the ego grows stronger. And this will only lead to misery and despair.

Babaji is free. I am always here for you, for free. no charge. My blessings are free. Miracle healings are free. Jesus is free. Buddha is free. The church is not free. The temple is not free. The Ashram is not free. Food is not free. Shelter is not free. Clothing is not free. To complain about donating some service or a small amount of money to the ashram is a message to yourself that the Lower Self prevails. Know this, the Low Path will only lead to misery and despair.

"Hi Friends!
I now continue with the story of how receiving emails from Babaji all began and what kinds of lessons I learned in the process. The reply from Babaji that you find here is referring to an incident in which a person who was connected with the beginnings of the website was informed of Babaji's emails. This person's reaction was a desire to "interview" Babaji for an online magazine. He wrote up about 30 questions that he felt were "what everyone was wanting to know..."

I had a very negative internal reaction to most of the questions, but I also was not at all sure about my personal assessment of ANYTHING at that time because I had been off-track for quite awhile and had a hard time carrying out was in my heart. I was pretty much a disaster area when Babaji started sending me emails. It is through His guidance and assistance that I have been able to once more stand up for what is in my heart and make it happen. At that time, I didn't want to 'offend' the writer of the questions so I just shipped the whole thing off to Babaji to see what He would say. I don't think it is of value to anyone to read the questions...it also serves no purpose for anyone to know WHO asked the questions. We ALL have a whole bunch of questions that are along the same lines.

MANY TIMES when I asked things that I now see as irrelevant, I received absolutely NO answer on them, like they never even GOT there! I just came to accept that the replies would come when I asked the questions that were important for my spiritual growth so I could get better at living the teachings.

I think this reply teaches us many things and answers some questions that many of you have been asking about, so I share it. Let me know what you get from this."

"Babaji is not an entertainment for some magazine. My message is not a show to entertain. The questions asked do not deal with Truth,Simplicity and Love. They are not about the message or the teachings. This is not a joke. To fool Babaji. To make an entertainment of my message. This saddens me.

My website is to be a beacon of hope, not an entertainment. The great fire is not about a show, not about a magazine. I am serious. There are great problems on this world. Hunger, poverty, slavery, disease, war, racism, environ-mental destruction. And there is the Great Problem that is approaching, the great fire, the great revolution.

"As for serious problems. Consider these problems as opportunities for growth. Change is not easy. The ego rejects change, yet change is the law, change is the real. Obstacles to the higher path are many. That is why few arrive. If obstacles are nonexistent then the ego will create them. Understand?

Your ego is creating obstacles. Maya creating maya. "Step back. Observe, without judgment, unconditional. Watch now as obstacles melt, become no-thing. Do this each time a block appears. Step back and observe without judgment. Chant the Mahamantra silently. Invoke the name of Babaji within your heart. The obstacle passes, quickly.

Remember, obstacles are part of change and change is the law of nature. If you react, then the obstacle becomes larger. If you observe, pure observation, then the obstacle passes, as quickly as it was created. Go now. Observe. Pure observation. No judgment. Chant silently. Invoke Babaji within your heart. Now see the movement of Truth, the movement of Simplicity, and the movement of Love permeate the fabric of space and time and move upon the heart.

I am Bhole Baba. I am no-thing. I am no-body. To find me, find what I am not. Do not assign the ego to question me in a manner that is complex, not from the heart. I can never be found in this manner. I am no-where, no place.

"ALL of this has been a very humbling experience. I think I told you before that I had received many "scoldings" when I was off-track. Some of them hit me so hard I would just have to sit back and think about it for days. ALL of them were very true, very simple, and full of love. He always chose words that went straight to my CORE! If I was feeling "pained" by it, I would look inside and say "Which part is hurting? Oh.. It's only my ego; that is very good. I want to eliminate the negative ego anyway!" But it would always take awhile to integrate and then move forward in a new way. Now I am to the point where I can feel the difference in energy flow of the Higher Self and the lower self. If I start to have thoughts, words or actions of the lower self, I can feel the energy start draining out. When the HIGHER SELF is functioning, the energy flows and tingles and moves everything UPWARD. I can also sense this in other people. Does anyone know what I'm talking about here?

I appreciate your support and your attention to these teachings. Together, we will be the beacons of LIGHT required for this time. It has taken much courage, many changes, and a willingness to change all the time to get these messages out to you. You can imagine what a revolution is created just by spreading these messages. Babaji is the ultimate revolutionary!

"Observe the flow of emotions. Up and down. There is constant movement, change. Don't attach to the emotions of the moment. Attach to the real behind the movement. Observe the movement, watch the emotion disappear. A new one takes its place. This is maya. That which is temporary, changes frequently, is maya. Don't attach to maya. This is all temporary. The body, emotions, relationships, wealth, power, knowledge...always changing, temporary. Understand? "This body I am in is temporary. It too has emotions constantly changing. I observe the movement of thought from its creation to its destruction.

Now listen carefully. The movement of thought is time. Learn to observe thought and time becomes what it is. Maya. Created by thought, divided by thought. When the higher self observes, there is no movement, no time. There is the eternal now where the ground of being exists. The place of no-thing. This is where I, who am no-body, come out of. Do what your heart advises and all will be well.

I had asked Babaji a TON of questions here, and as I was writing them, I'd also write the "answers" that were coming into my head... stuff I hadn't thought about before....I asked Him how in the WORLD I could learn this new technology when I couldn't go to classes with my duties as Mom. I asked about many things, and here is His reply:"

December 15, 1998:

"Ah yes, wonderful...you have answered your own questions. This is the mark of the higher self. Yes, yes, others will help you with the new technology. Search the Internet. There is much information there to teach you. No need for classes now. Be aware. Be awake to what is going on around you. Don't be asleep. Be an observer for Babaji. Watch everything with diligence. AWAKE NOW. This is my message. Most are asleep all the time. Most are like sheep led to slaughter. Be a light unto yourself. Be strong. Know that I have come to give. Only to give. Are you ready to receive? I give everything. But few ask for the real thing I have come to give.

The real is not in wealth, not in scholarship, not in power. These are what humans crave. These can never provide mental equanimity. These can never provide what Babaji offers. "The real is what you are to seek. The real is what you are to know. The real is what you are to own. The rest is maya. Don't be attached to what is not real. Don't worry over that which is not real. Awake to the real. Observe the real. This is my message. "The road to the real is through the path of Truth, Simplicity and Love. This is what I offer. This is the message. This is the Truth. Simplify, simplify, simplify.

The real is not complex. The simple truth answers the most complex question. Observe the simple. "Seek the center. Contemplate the ground of being. The simple created all of this complexity. The simple created maya. Truth, Simplicity and Love. Think about truth. Think about simplicity. Think about Love. Many write about me. Take lovely pictures. Make beautiful music. Few write about Truth, Simplicity and Love. They mention it in passing. They never delve into it. Go into my message. This is the message I have given since the beginning of time and space. "You want real answers. Here they are-The answer is...Truth, Simplicity and Love. This is the message I have given to evolved sentient beings. It is the core of all great religions. It is the foundation, the cornerstone, the brick and mortar of the sentient being who has destroyed the lower self.

"Your many questions, your many concerns that you seek answers to. They have answers. Seek them out through Truth, Simplicity and Love. All of the answers to your questions will come when you contemplate my message. "Yes, you can chant, do japa, do fire and water purification, sing, but you must observe, you must look at, you must be aware of, you must live the message. I have told you this before and I repeat it again. And I will repeat it again and again until space and time cease to be, until Shiva destroys this universe. And I will repeat it again and again with the creation of the next universe.

"Babaji is very pleased with the creation of this project. You have taken my message into your heart and you have acted upon it. You have set into motion a great seed which will become a beacon for the transmission of the teachings. "You will have more time because of this new technology and you will accomplish more in less time and less energy. I know it is important for you to conserve your energy. You have put out the word for help on this project and help is coming.

Associate with those sentient humans who have an open mind. Do not diminish your energy with those who only take. This can wear out a body, even one that Babaji inhabits. Offer the teachings, share the message, but do not sacrifice yourself. If you intuitively feel that a human is taking your energy, that is you feel tired and drained after interacting, then no longer should you associate with that person."

"Start the website from nothing. Create new content. This is Babaji's website. Be professional. Make it look good. Make it accurate. Don't compromise. Use what works in your heart. That is what will work. "Yes, include information about the hospital, but don't be attached to it or to the other ashrams. Get on with the project and the other ashrams will see what you are doing, and seeing that it comes from your heart, will join with you if they are true devotees.

I know of the problems of the heart between the ashrams and this is due to the lower nature of the ego. Babaji's website will join devotees on the higher path. You will help each other through the great fire to create a beautiful world on the other side. You will serve and give to each other. You will energize each other so that your bodies become strong and you attain mental equanimity. This is the community that Babaji envisions. Not a community of takers, of selfishness, of egos on the lower path, but a community of servers, of selfless sentient humans living in Truth, Simplicity and Love and joining together to bring humans to a higher path so they may destroy the lower self and move this entire world into the realm of a great beacon that will transmit the teachings throughout the Universe.

Now about this body. It is unlike the others. Very intelligent but very weak. This body will not last long but shall serve a great purpose. It has enabled me to plant the seed and I hope to experience at least the beginning of this new creation before moving on.

wretched mass of seething destruction. Attach to maya and live in Lies, Complexity and Hate.
This is the beginning of the great fire. The mass of humanity is living in the opposite of my message.

So, now, if you are in a situation, a relationship, and this event is unfolding in lies, complexity and hate you must abandon it immediately. Even if only one factor of lies, or one factor of complexity or one factor of hate arises, you must flee immediately. My message of Truth, Simplicity and Love is a beacon of hope, of light, of the real. To live in the opposite, is I am afraid, consuming this world. And this is why the great fire will purify, cleanse, and renew this dark age of kali yuga. You must be prepared to jump into the fire in order to reach the other side or there will be destruction.

Be alert to truth and seek it out. Be alert to simplicity and seek it out. Be alert to love and seek it out. Attract these things and Shiva Nataraj will dance the ring of fire purifying you without destruction. Time is compressing. Read my message. Study the teachings until you are attached to the real. Some of you are wondering about fewer emails the last couple of days. Since Friday morning when Babaji sent the "Healing Meditation" announcement, I had to spend more time with that and couldn't keep up the usual 'sharings.' There were also many more emails than usual to shuffle back and forth. Today I took the time out to go and get a really great chair with arm rests... this will be a help to me, as I am probably spending about 5 hours a day minimum, 7 days a week, at this computer.

Am also looking for other ways to keep up this pace... Babaji had talked to me about "compressed time" in the early days; I am experiencing that quite often now. Angelo asked me to request help with installing some siding and some windows, if there is anyone out there with those skills who could come and give service for a few days. He is in charge of the gardens, the temple, the construction, and the maintenance of the ashram. We will also be installing new flooring in the temple soon. It is such a beautiful time of year here. We are eating many fresh veggies from the garden, we are surrounded by blooming flowers, and everything is very lush and green right now!! The birds are singing so loud in the mornings, some mornings I have to just close the windows to get any sleep.

Again, thanks to those of you who understand my position here and have been sending various types of support. It is essential to my well-being. I have just about always worked this hard, but usually without the kind of support now shown. All merits go to Babaji on this. When Babaji told me to make these emails public, He said this:"

"The other day, the first wave of the "firestorm" began, and I had to spend a whole day formulating a response to some very negative things being said about these emails. I wrote to Babaji and sent the criticisms, with the remark that 'the firestorm has now begun.' He wrote back to me:"

"Yes, the firestorm approaches. If your heart is too burdened by all of this then I shall take my leave. You may share ALL of my messages to you if you wish, and I approve of any written commentaries from you. Know that if this burden is too much I am not disappointed, but rather, I am pleased with your unconditional Service."

I wrote back:
"I would not THINK of having you stop sending the emails! They are my "lifeline." I am not here to play around with this stuff. I am here to live the teachings! I am just starting to understand them and LOVE your guidance in this form. ....The firestorm is just egos...how can they possibly NOT feel the teachings in their hearts when they read Your messages? Please send more, as needed. I am here only to serve, unconditionally, from here on out.

If you have been following along with the emails entitled "Truth, Simplicity, and Love Letters," you have read that someone wanted to interview Babaji for a magazine, and He sent quite a long explanation about why He was not going to do this. When I sent that explanation to this person, he expressed some anger and some hurt feelings about all of it. This was Babaji's reply about that:"

"Anger comes from the ego not from the real, the higher self. Few understand the teachings, my message. This is why I have come back into this sinking body, to touch the creative spark in you to create my website so that those who think they know me, think they understand me, can truly understand the message of Truth,Simplicity and Love. "Do not attach to those who are angry. The angry are attached to the ego. Attached to the body. Do not try to change others. Just offer the teachings. Nothing more. You cannot give mental equanimity to another. Even Babaji can't do that...."

"Again, this is not an entertainment, a show, or an art exhibit. This is about destroying the lower self and living on the high path. This is about service. This is about living in Truth, Simplicity and Love. "Do not take the teachings out of context. This is the ego trying to destroy, rip apart, divide the teachings. Be alert to this. "Those who come to take the teachings out of context, who come in anger, come not in Truth, Simplicity and Love. Remember when some would travel to see me and I would immediately send them home? They came to take the teachings out of context, in anger, not ready for the teachings. "Now keep the name Babaji.net for the website. I told you there would be many obstacles. I told you that many would come but few would stay. I said that change is difficult but it is the law of nature. There is only change. Everything else is temporary...maya.

"This was in January, 1999, in the very beginnings of the website. I was expressing to Babaji that I felt like a failure about certain things happening in my personal life, and I was embarrassed about it.
He replied:"

"There is no failure if one lives in Truth, Simplicity and Love. Do not feel embarrassed. You have not failed. And you do not know the outcome. Be in the present. Live in the present. That is all one can do. Observe and know that what you see is the wheel of maya moving round and round, always changing, never stopping for a moment. Know this and know that there can be no failure. Know this and understand that your emotions are but dancing chemicals of up and down, on and
off, temporary, impermanent.

"I have shared this "dancing chemical" image with a few people, and it always brings a smile of acknowledgement and kind of a sigh of relief to know that our emotions are nothing more than that!... Like someone finally made it clear. Let me know what it does for you.
I am working on a written newsletter today, very brief, to people who are not on the peacenews list to mail out this week, trying to alert them to the Healing Meditation, Guru Purnima, and the fact that I am receiving these emails from Babaji.... what a task!!! Imagine trying to express all that and keep it to 2 sheets of paper! Good luck, huh? At this point, I'm the only one here who can do all these things, and many of you are asking me for more emails from Babaji.... I visualize the day when I can just tell a staff member ONE of these things to do, and they can do it, or maybe THREE staff members, and they each take a task and do it. There are plenty of tasks for all. Meanwhile, I am getting good practice at visualizing that I have eight arms, like Divine Mother. I baked a rhubarb/mulberry pie today. That was a good change of pace, and mighty tasty too!! Nate has purple hands, feet, and face most of the day these days. We just walk around the farm, munching from tree to tree.

It is simply a place where devotees can gather to learn about and discuss the teachings. If the teachings are lost, the ashram will cease to function. See! It is not the path itself. When the purpose of the ashram is to perpetuate itself rather than share the teachings, then the ashram no longer serves its purpose as a tool. The ashram is no-thing, just like Babaji. When it becomes some-thing, it falls into the low path.

"Preparing for disaster is good. But there is one disaster that few prepare for and that is a disastrous life of emptiness, running here and there, trying to acquire more wealth, more possessions, more power, more knowledge, only to find, in the end, a life of one disaster after another. You see? What good is it to survive a physical or manmade disaster when one's life is not full and attached to the higher self? Listen carefully. Living in Truth, Simplicity and Love, being in service to others, living on the higher path...this is all one needs to survive any kind of disaster. Now all this concentration upon disaster is nothing new. You see, when humans are consumed with the end of the world, this is merely symbolic of their true fear. Their fear of death. Understand? The body will become no-thing. No matter what we do or how we shall prepare, the final disaster can not be overcome. This exchange all took place in October of 1999. A very small number of people had come to know that I was receiving emails from Babaji, and they would ask me to ask Him things from time to time. Sometimes He would answer and sometimes not. ON THIS OCCASION....T. asked Babaji the meaning of "simplicity."

I passed that on to Babaji. He wrote back to me:"

"Now please go and explain the meaning of Simplicity to T. and don't complicate the explanation. Understand?

"Dear Babaji,
I'm working on the definition of Simplicity.... Here is what I've come up with:
Simplicity, as I understand it, is "living within your means." This means debt-free, karma free, efficiency of movement, efficiency of energy, little talk, little sleep, LOTS of Om Namah Shivaya, studying the spaces between the words of the Great Masters. Use everything to its fullest potential, even your own body. Have a "system" for everything, even your digestion.
My friend, J, says Simplicity is "cut the crap... (just) love Babaji."
