AN EVOLVED PERSON

An evolved person is FREE from:

• craving attention, and can be almost invisible.
• craving awards and recognition.
• having to PROVE anything to anyone.
• caring about being "right" in an argument.
• caring whether they are understood or not.
• expecting other people to understand them.
  having "buttons" that other people can push.
• feeling the world owes them anything.
• feeling someone else owes them anything.
• caring what others think about them.
• caring what others feel about them.
• hiding their head in the sand - ignoring reality.
• feelings of jealousy, impatience, guilt, judgement,inferiority, worthlessness, possessiveness, inner overty,lack, clinging, pride, vanity, greed, self pity, needing attention.
• expecting anything from anybody or anything, and thus avoids anger, rage and violence.
• "reacting" to things. If someone insults an evolved person, they don't take it personally, and see it as the other person's problem.
• An evolved person can have fun without being frivolous. They enjoy humor.
• And last but not least: Evolved people can love completely without attachment!!

Work as if you didn't need money.
Love as if you've never been hurt.
Dance as if no one was looking.

I was tired of my hair, thinking maybe I should just shave it off and do a mundan. I asked Babaji if there was still spiritual value in this practice and if He still recommended it....

"Blessings:
One may shave the head for spiritual purposes, but know this. I have taken this body for sentient beings to focus on the teachings. Ritual serves an important purpose. But living in Truth, Simplicity, and Love, Serving unconditionally, destroying the Lower Self, and walking on the High Path....these supersede all ritual.

To live the Teachings IS the ritual. Just as I have instructed you to move away from the body and focus on the Teachings, the same holds for moving away from, not entirely, but focusing in the direction of Being in the Presence of the Teachings, owning them in your Heart, not by ritual or symbol, but by Being one with the Teachings, having Truth, Simplicity, and Love permeate every space of your mind, body, and most importantly, spirit.

Those words reverberate with power. The speaker is...God. Neale Donald Walsch, known for his dialogue-filled conversations with God, steps aside and allows God to be the sole voice in the latest of his "...with God" series of books. In this new volume, entitled Communion with God, the written words of God detail step-by-step, chapter-by-chapter, 10 illusions that create separation between humankind and the ultimate reality of what is so. This book invites readers to see the illusions for what they are and to use each and every illusion to better realize the truth about who they are.
Neale Donald Walsch spoke with Tim Miejan from his busy office in Ashland, Ore., where is preparing to travel nationwide to let the public know just how vital this latest message from God truly is.
We have another "...with God" book -- Communion with God. What inspired this new book? Is it part of a flow coming forth from you?

Neale Donald Walsch: I was told in Conversations with God -- Book 3 that there would be two more books forthcoming, just when I thought really that the series had ended. They are Friendship with God and Communion with God. I was told that our relationship with God is very much like our relationship with each other here on this planet. Our contact begins with a conversation. If the conversation goes well, we experience friendship with that other. And if the friendship serves both of us, then we eventually move into a place of communion -- or oneness -- with the other person. Many people call this love.
What God said to me is that our relationship with God is no different than our relationship with each other. And if we allowed ourselves to experience it, just as we allow ourselves to experience a relationship with another human being, we would be grandly enriched and wonderfully blessed - if not greatly surprised at how things really work.

I am to assist people in remembering this. I think my mission on this planet is to remind people and bring people to a renewed understanding - a remembering -- of what their right relationship with God really is.
People have been trying to find right relationship with Deity from the beginning of time. My mission here, in this lifetime, is to be a catalyst in assisting people.

The Communion with God book is a book that speaks with one voice - the voice of God. There is no dialogue. There are no questions and answers. It is the book I was promised I would write when I moved from my experience of Friendship with God to my experience of really deep connection with God, almost oneness with God, speaking with one voice.
The point of the book is that we all speak with the voice of God - indeed we all do. We call it something else, because it's difficult to accept that every word that we utter really is the word of God -- in that we and God are one. In that God's will for us is our will for us. In that we speak with creative authority with each word that we utter, producing our own reality in the very next moment -- with our thoughts, words and deeds. This is indeed the message of the entire "...with God" series. And it is made very clear in Communion with God.

Communion with God speaks to the way in which we have constructed our lives in the relative reality that we call our life on planet Earth and in these physical bodies. Conversation with God and the entire "...with God" series differentiates between what you are, which it calls Ultimate Reality, and what you imagine yourself to be, which is our relative reality. Ultimate Reality is abbreviated by the initials UR. That is what you are - Ultimate Reality.

In the realm of the relative, we are living an illusion. And we are living it as magicians who have forgotten our own tricks. What Communion with God does is reminds the magician how the tricks are done. This is done not so the illusion is broken, but understood in terms of how it is being created -- and used to continue to produce specific and desired results, just as a magician uses his illusions for precisely the same purpose.

Communion with God discusses the 10 illusions of humans and outlines how those illusions have been created, how they have affected our lives when we lived them as if they were real, and how we may discontinue living our illusions as if they were real, although not discontinue the illusions themselves. Without the illusions, it would not be possible to experience who we are in the realm of the relative.
It is the most revealing of all the "...with God" books in that it shares with deep insight a perspective on life that only those who are connected to Ultimate Reality can see. So it acts as a bridge for those who are still lost in the maya or are still caught up in the illusion and those who have stepped aside from the illusion and use it as all masters do. There are such masters who have walked on the planet throughout the ages, and there will always be those masters who show us the way -- the way out of the illusion, out of the maze, and into the clearing once more.

That is what is happening now for many people. We are in a state of amazement, that is to say, we are caught in a maze -- and it is an amazing experience, for sure. Yet, part of the amazement can be confusion and difficulty, pain and sorrow. And that need not be a part of the amazement, but it is for those who imagine there is no way out. Those who know there is a way out of the maze can enjoy being in the maze, knowing it is simply a process that can be enjoyed. We can smell the flowers. We can touch the vines. We can really enjoy being in there when we know it's simply a matter of following the right path, and then we're out of the maze. Mazes can be really frustrating when it appears there is no way out, which produces both the beauty and the anxiety of being in the maze. Or that the maze is all there is.

Walsch: Exactly. Communion with God will be, without any doubt, the most important of all the "...with God" books. It will be seen in years ahead as the most profound statement of WHAT IS REAL that has been produced in these early days of the 21st century.

Oneness seems to be a difficult thing for six billion individuals to embrace.
Walsch: Yes, and there is a reason for that. And when we understand the reason, we can begin to use the illusion of our separation. The reason it's difficult for us to embrace oneness is because if we embraced it all the time, we would not know what it was. So, we have to separate from the oneness, or allow ourselves to experience "other than oneness," to know what oneness is.

The experience of oneness is a gift, but the illusion of separation is a gift, as well. Because it is only through the illusion of separation that we can experience the Ultimate Reality of our eternal union. When we understand that, it is possible for us to experience the Ultimate Reality, but to do so sporadically. We don't have to do it all the time.
So it's a flow, in and out.

Walsch: Yes, what frightens people about oneness is that they fear the loss of self and the loss of individual identity. Now, the good news is that we don't have to lose individual identity in order to experience our true identity.

Do you think that's the purpose for our coming to this planet, to do that?
Walsch: It's the entire purpose of venturing into physical form, so that we might know the oneness and that which is not one. Even as a snowflake falls from the heavens, it experiences itself as the most exquisite and individualized and non-duplicatable version of the All, only to melt once again into the oneness. It turns first into snow and then melts into water, and then turns into vapor to return once again into All That Is, and then reforms itself as another snowflake and falls once again.
So a snowflake falling from the heavens is all part of an eternal process of evolution by which it knows itself both as individual expressions of the Ultimate Magnificence, and then returns to the Ultimate Magnificence to reform itself again. So we are all simply Gods in formation -- or God's information!
Does understanding of the ideas in Communion with God require some level of spiritual maturity, or will everyone grasp it if so chosen?

Walsch: That statement is self-evident. Everyone experiences what they choose to experience, so the question answers itself. What we choose to experience, we do. If readers choose to grasp it, they will. Will everyone make that choice? That remains to be seen. The sooner that more of us makes the choice, the sooner more of us will experience Ultimate Reality, and that will change life on this planet.
Does someone need to be at a particular level to understand the material? The answer is no. I think anyone can come to the material and understand and grasp the material wholly. Why is the grandest illusion the concept that need exists?

Walsch: Because without need, all of the other dominoes fall. Only the idea that we need something causes us to have any other experience in life that we have -- both good and bad. If we didn't need anything, we'd be static beings. We'd be, do and have nothing, which is the nature of the Ultimate Reality. The idea that need exists is the key that opens the door to relative experience.
It's the idea of need run amok that is the problem. The illusion of need is an important illusion, because it's used to create our entire experience.

Don't you think it's fearful for people to accept that what they're living is an illusion?
Walsch: I don't know. I would think it would be a liberation for most people. Like you use the analogy of the magician, a lot of us haven't known that we have created an illusion ourselves.
Walsch: You can't really appreciate the dream until you wake up.
All of the "...with God" books speak of being, not doing. Do you think it takes effort to stand in place and truly be who you are?

Walsch: It does, until it doesn't, anymore. So the answer is yes and no. It's like saying, is it hard to learn your multiplication tables. It is, until it isn't. It takes effort until it takes no effort at all, and then one realizes why it took such effort. It's like swim ing or riding a bicycle or anything one masters.
And part of your effort is to motivate people to begin the process, to consider making the effort?
Walsch: I'm not sure if that's the purest reading of what I am doing. I'm not trying to motivate people to do anything, but rather, I'm simply placing the information in front of people and they can do what they choose. I'm not a motivator. I'm not here to convince anyone of anything. I'm simply here to clarify, and then from those clarifications, people can make do as they wish. I really have no preference in the matter, any more than God does. But I do see myself as a clarifier so people can better understand the great mysteries of life. And who they really are.

Walsch: Yes. If I were a motivator, then there'd be an outcome I would desire. That's the difficulty in trying to motivate others. If you haven't motivated them, it looks as if you haven't done what you had come to do. It's the first step on the road to pain and disappointment.

Have decided on some type of savings plan that will acrue as much interest as possible. After that to buy something which will increase in value like stocks, mutual funds or land. Should I go for the long term - say 3 to 10 years or for the short term say 6 months to a year? Should I choose a liquid account where money could be withdrawn under certain conditions?

Then, there is the other posibility under finance which is to actually finance something like land. It seems to me that of all the possibilities, land is the safest and accrues the most value the most quickly. Are we in a hurry? Do you want me to get onand finance something right away? Change is the Law of Nature. Change is difficult for the Ego to accept. People would have Babaji keep one body. How is that possible? The body is temporary. The mind cannot accept that. It cannot accept the end of the body, so it tries to make a God out of the body. But if I kept the body, this the mind would not also accept, and the result would be that many would take this body and shred it to pieces. There is a great darkness descending upon this world. Do not be deceived by the good news. The few seek control over the many. You must be strong. You must think for yourselves. BE ALERT. BE AWARE. The arrogance of the ego grows stronger. And this will only lead to misery and despair.

(I only recently found out what this means and it is such a beautiful word!)
I believe that Babaji's recent "e-mail appearance" in our physical plane occurred to remind us how we are to live because "the end of days" is upon us. Living the teachings is the only way to survive this time period and I see that more clearly everyday. It is such an incredible blessing that he came to give us a "practice period" before the events to come.

Many, many times during each day I have to stop myself before doing or saying something and think about whether this action is coming from truth, simplicity or love and am I really being of service by doing/saying this thing to this person or am I just feeding my lower self.

I find it very hard to express in words what is going on in my head, of late. I hope this portrays at least a small sense of what I'm intending to say.

Dear friends,
I am feeling this same way. It seems to me Babaji showed up just in time. I know several people who have nicknamed Babaji "Just-in-time Baba" because of how He will pull you out of the muck just in time!!! I honestly feel He has done that for me, and I know many of you feel the same way.
The email form has restored my personal faith in the goodness of humanity. It was looking a little bleak there, in my little world, and He just pulled the right people together in order to set up a support system for living on the higher path. I see how many are doing their best to truly live on the higher path, and I know how difficult that is. He told me it would be few who would choose to live on the higher path, and He wasn't kidding.
Every single thing He told me about and warned me about came to pass exactly as He said. There are a few more of these left, and I expect they will go the same way.
Babaji has shown me a new way to figure out what kind of energy, what type of person, and what type of communication will truly spread Babaji's MESSAGE rather than WORSHIP OF HIS BODY. This saves endless misery and despair. He taught me that I don't need to convince anyone of anything, that it is good to be small, that the true ashram is in the heart, that we can get closest to God by praying in the closet... the list goes on and on. This is priceless information in our present world!!

"As for serious problems. Consider these problems as opportunities for growth. Change is not easy. The ego rejects change, yet change is the law, change is the real. Obstacles to the higher path are many. That is why few arrive. If obstacles are nonexistent then the ego will create them. Understand? Your ego is creating obstacles. Maya creating maya. "Step back. Observe, without judgement, unconditional. Watch now as obstacles melt, become no-thing. Do this each time a block appears. Step back and observe without judgement. Chant the mahamantra silently. Great Re-minder!

Each day I become less and less attached to everything and become more no-thing. That makes sense to me but to put it into words seems to distort the essence of the realness for me! Babaji's wisdom and realness has shifted my energy so drastically I hardly know this being I "thought" I was. The strangest part for me has been to "put up with" this ego-self who doesn't like the "letting go" part and kicks, screams and shouts! It's lessening now as the online meditations continue and the Mahamantra strengthens Truth Simplicity and Love within.

If I "think" about the darkness which is enveloping our world, I get too freaked out, but allowing it, calling up faith and staying very present doing Karma Yoga works for me. I know all I have worked for the past 20 to 25 years is coming to pass and I am supremely grateful for the emails from Baba, my connection with other devotees and my own inner strength from all the practice.

Together we can stand strong in the darkness calling upon Baba when it gets too dark. Calling upon each other and keeping our connection brightens the moment. We are at the crossroads now and can only use what Baba has given us. There is no other choice it seems! Thanks God!
I feel like the luckiest woman in the world knowing I have all of you with me, Baba holding me and Truth Simplicity and Love enfolding me. Thanks!

Dear Friends,

Om Namah Shivaya
This is a special message that I don't believe I have shared before. I was thinking it was kind of 'personal' information, but I feel many of you on this list are ready for this, even though it was sent to me.
With regard to ritual, I have certainly done more than 10 years of the daily Aratis, weekly Fire Ceremonies, and all the big yagyas for special celebrations, as well as 8 trips to India to live in the ashrams. I love the rituals, but ever since Nate is here, I have had to just learn how to create that same wonderful connection without even attending the rituals, even if I was the organizer of the events. This is another form of unconditional service.

I rejoice in the times I get to participate in the ritual, but I also rejoice in being able to stay with Nate and just 'tune in' to the ceremony. Babaji has certainly taught me more and more about this during the emails. Whatever will open the heart to the Higher Path and the teachings is a great blessing in our lives. Being Nate's Mom has worked this on me especially after the years of ritual. Each individual accomplishes this in a unique way.

Babaji also gave me a warning not to worry about any other ashrams and to just concentrate on the website. This is upsetting to some people in 'other ashrams,' it seems, but I believe it was just a warning to focus on MY work and not let the thoughts or negativity of others affect what I know to be true in my heart. If I were worried about 'seeking approval' from all the other 'devotees,' I would lose my heart connection real quick!! Seeking approval is not of the higher path. It goes into the same category as gossip, actually...

In the last part, my husband (being the strict pujari-type devotee for so many years) had a great fear that letting people know about these email messages would cause a great separation among the devotees, and he constantly worried that this would be really horrible for me to be subjected to all the wrath of those who were unaccepting, judging, and negative about these messages. (Yet every time I read him an email from Babaji, he would say "Yes, that's true..." like a lightbulb went on in his heart. And then he'd say "Wow! Whoever this guy is, he is REALLY smart to know all this... who else would know this besides Babaji?") As a good husband, he was being very protective of me, even though it sometimes felt like he was just disapproving of the whole scenario.

I was probably naive about just how CRUEL people could be about it, but I also know that if you can't stand up for what you know is RIGHT in this world, then why in the heck are you even HERE? I was willing to go forward in order to serve humanity to the best of my ability in the way that Babaji asked. All these experiences have served to strengthen my heart. Bhole Baba ki Jai!!

So far, the result of sharing the emails with more people has been a very blessed 'cleanse' of those who were 'hanging with us' for the less than highest reasons, as I see it. (This continues on....) Those who are clearly tuned into their hearts have always stuck with this humble little Babaji center and honored and respected what we do here, having faith that we are also following our hearts.
We are now attracting many new people who are really striving to live on the higher path. Now THIS is the way to live in spiritual community!!! Get together with no ego trips, everyone jumping up to serve the others, no one late for anything, no one trying to get out of doing the dishes or sweeping the floor.... it is wonderful!!! A great relief after living here for 20 years and starting to wonder about why ANYONE would want to live in so-called 'spiritual community,' with all the normal ego trips bashing against each other.
These are my musings as I share this special Babaji email with you on this list:

"Blessings:
You recall in my last body I spoke of rituals for the benefit of the people, to help them, to condition mind and body, as a way to step on the High Path. Then, I left that body as a message to concentrate not on ritual but on the message. Understand? This new technology will enable the message to be spread without the burden of ritual. Attach to the message not the ritual. This is for you. For others, the ritual is necessary to condition a mind and body that is not ready for the High Path. Just as Jesus came to dispense with ritual and concentrate on the message, Babaji has done the same by leaving the last body. This body is temporary and is being used to spark the creation of my website. Do not worry about the other ashrams. I warned you of this. Concentrate on the message. You are doing a wonderful job with the website so far.
Yes, your husband is right about my messages causing friction and separation. You see! Truth, Simplicity, and Love are concepts that will always shake the foundations of humanity.

I think you can see how those who are of the lower path would tear this one apart and judge harshly about it, but that will have to be their problem. To me, it is precious. At some point, I will compile ALL of the emails where Babaji spoke of Jesus. I sometimes have the notion these two are one and the same. For sure, in 'christ consciousness,' all are the same at that level.

I would like to plan a "beacons of light" retreat here at the center, to which all who are striving to live on the higher path are invited. Now I just have to figure out WHEN, as we are in the winter weather and this presents a few challenges, perhaps. He has helped me to rely more and more on the love of God, the love that exists WITHIN each of us. He has helped me to be fearless. "You are somebody in your eyes. Everybody else may know that you are nobody, but not you. Even a madman thinks that the whole world is mad. The whole world says to him, "You are mad!" but he will not listen because this is too painful. He will create all sorts of arguments, rationalizations to say, "I am not mad."
It happened: Mulla Nasrudin came running into a farm one evening and asked the farmer, "Have you seen a lunatic woman passing through here?"
The farmer said, "What did she look like?"
Nasrudin described her. He said, "She is six feet four inches tall, very fat, and weighs forty-five pounds."
The farmer looked a little puzzled and said, "If she is six feet four inches tall and is very fat, how can she weigh only forty-five pounds?"
Nasrudin laughed and said, "Don't be silly - didn't I tell you that she is a little crazy?"

It is always the other who is wrong, who is crazy. That's how you protect you own so-called sanity, this is a protection. And a person who cannot look at himself, basically cannot look, because he is not only afraid of looking at himself - the basic thing is that he is afraid of looking. For when you look at the other, the other can become the mirror; when you look into the other, the other can indicate something about you. In the other's eyes you are reflected, so you cannot look at the other. You create a fiction about yourself and then you create a fiction about others. Then you live in a dream world - that is how everybody is living."

Introduction Section II

"The focus of energy that holds this planet in orbit within this solar system does not require the power of force to do this, but uses an available process that does not require effort. The concept of power has within it the inherent understanding of effort as force. Since thought attracts, you have brought to you the experience of effort, force and power. There are other experiences available that do not use this concept. Rocketry projects are an example. Your resources are used to effort one rocket and its payload into the orbit of this planet and then beyond. Yet you are visited by beings of other planets that enter and leave your planet's gravitational field without this wasteful effort. Does this prove to you that there are other ways to accomplish movement without such wasteful and dangerous methods? The search for answers to this question intrigues the mind. There are many that know these possibilities exist, but are unable to envision the answers without the need of using great effort to resist what they envision ties them to the planet. It is not the gravitational field that ties them here. It is the consciousness. It is the interactivity of thought acting upon thought that eludes them. They know that their thoughts can influence the outcome of an experiment. However the concept that thought once projected can be released to interact within itself and that it can produce an outcome beyond a controlled (desired) outcome is not understood. The need to control, observe and to prove the process prevents them from reaching into new realms of understanding. What is lacking is the ability to trust that the process can only proceed within positive outcomes once it is released to act within and upon itself. Thought released to act upon itself will return in manifestation glorified and in a form more magnificent than the limited focused mind can imagine.

Now the challenge comes to those who desire to be the instruments of changing the negative plans for the destiny of this planet. Can you expand your consciousness to encompass the process that lies just beyond your "grasp"? It will be necessary for you to begin with the basic desire of participating within a new paradigm of experience. However, to leave the known and desire to venture into the unknown requires the courage to release what you feel is the advancement this "civilization" has made from its stone age beginnings into modern technological comfort for many on this planet. Do you know that the word civilization is synonymous with slavery? In order to accomplish this experience, it required giving up the freedom of personal choice in order that group organization might have precedence. Beyond the family, no organization is necessary. Personal responsibility is the keynote of freedom. Cooperation is a natural phenomenon as long as the need to control is absent. The need to control is a learned activity that becomes habitual through the experience of it.

How does one transcend this habitual activity when it is deeply engrained at a planetary level? It has now reached a point that in and of himself, man cannot break this addiction. The adversaries know this well. They are sure that humanity cannot change it. How then will it occur as the primary starting point of the shift to a new paradigm of experience? It can be done by understanding that thought focused and released can indeed act within itself and upon itself. Though it sounds simplistic, and indeed in reality it is simplistic, it is a powerful tool. In order for this process to work, there are some criteria that must be present. Since it is a process of Divine Order, it must have at its intentional level the desire to co-ordinate within this perpetual process. The purpose of it must be conceived with the focus of the continued evolvement of those who will benefit from its inception through the outward movement of its spheres of influence. The intent of its purpose is the key to its success of coordination with and within the flow of Divine Order. If this is reduced to a mathematical formula, then its inclusion can not cause a change in any of the Divine formulas that allow the balance of the whole to exist in harmony.

Thought thinking within itself would know if it was acceptable or not. That is the reason the opposition cannot take advantage of this process. Purity of intent to harmonize as the motive is a primary prerequisite. The outlining thought must be specific only in the intent of purpose. It must provide direction of purpose allowing the thought thinking process to proceed into Divine Order by releasing it in total trust knowing it is accomplished in what you call etheric levels and will then manifest into this recognizable reality using all the available triggers for appropriate interaction.

How can you know that this actually will accomplish the desired results andis not just another ploy of the opposition to keep you controlled? Have youheard of this on your media reports? Is anyone within the approved world of communication touting this as the thing for you to do? Indeed not! You are programmed to focus your energies into the salvaging of your sexy bodies and in your humanitarian thoughts for the suffering multitudes, as you have another bite of your steak dinner at the restaurant, or at least another convenient hamburger on your way home from your unproductive labors at the computer keyboard. The process through which you receive this information does use the wonders of your computer. It is a demonstration of thought interacting with itself with the addition of focus. It is the focus of your intent that will initiate the process that you desire. Then thought focused through purposeful intent will complete itself in magnificence through the energy of your faith and trust. Firmly holding to the knowing that the etheric form of it was completed in less than the blinking of your eye will allow it to manifest into 3rd dimensional reality. The computer-like processes of the Creation are indeed endowed with quickness. Then again the ball shall be returned to your court for more to be done within your dimension."

Please may I ask you a question about meditation. i have been struggling for some time trying to keep the program you set up at Herakhan and to achieve the level of light and realization required to keep the tremendous changes we are going through in good stead - in balance. One never knows what will happen next and the meditations especially in the mornings seem to be essential. The program you set up at Herakhan is awe inspiring. I have such admiration for it, but it seems to leave very little time for meditation and meditation seems also to be frowned on in that system.

Also, it was through intense meditations that on that blessed day You revealed Yourself as my Master. (How eternally greatful I am). Therefore, please will You tell me what You recommend for me in terms of meditation and how to integrate it with the Haidakhan system and hours. Should I just do the best I can for now and wait and see, or if you have advice, I give thanks.

If you heart calls for meditation, then that is your path. The teaching is the core. Babaji provides the structure. Concentrate on the message not on the messenger. Concentrate on the teachings not on Babaji. Babaji is no thing, going from one body to the next. Understand? See, see! This is part of the teaching. Attach to the real, the teachings. The unreal is the body, coming and going. Attach to that which existed before the body and which exists after the body. Certainly devotees may use structure to help them step onto the higher path. But ultimately, the structure you need depends upon what your heart tells you to use.

I must tell you something very strange that happened today. When I read this e-mail, I felt "something" happening. In my heart I heard, "Just let it happen..." and so I did. What I experienced left me in awe. I "tuned in" to Babaji through the words. I couldn't believe it but he told me to share what I received. He said that we should all be willing to share the e-mails as there is a certain "frequency" in them and that when we look at the words it is our Hearts that actually Hear the words. This attunement that takes place in our hearts helps us to enter His frequency and "opens" us to him when we read the words. He says that's why he stresses the teachings so much because they contain the frequency of the Sanatan Dharma--which is the Eternal Religion. That is what I "heard" and I pray that I have related his message correctly. Please feel free to share any or all of mine.

try to understand Your teachings. It is difficult for me to understand when I am in the real, when I have thoughts, when it is my Higher Self.........

When I have contact with my higher self, then I observe without having thoughts and without emotions and without judgement?And then I am in the Real? When I saw the karma of different country's, was I then in the Real? Or were it just thoughts?

Have I ever been in the Real? Yesterday when You told me that I am not crazy, that I don't have crazy thoughts, I was very happy. I was relieved. You said that my thoughts, are thoughts of a sensitive, intuitive person. I want to understand, feel, know the difference between mysensitive, intuitive thoughts and the Real and theHigher Self. From L. in South Africa, who has been doing some work for me in getting the "Teachings of Babaji" book typed in for the website....

Just spending the morning typing today really made me read these teachings in a new light. I have read them so often that I was kind of just glossing over them. Yeah, yeah, I know what it says. Perhaps having the e mail Babaji messages so present in my consciousness has made these teachings come to life in a new way. I always know that Babaji teaches me in the most perfect ways. When you first asked me to type up the Teachings book, I felt like I wasn't sure if I really wanted to do this, since I was so much more focused on the new e mail messages. I really know these just about by heart. But, I trust what comes towards me and I believe it is how Babaji works with me - always sending me exactly what I need. Bhole Baba Ki Jai!

Typing the message of 1 October 1982 where the devotee asks for permission to be initiated by another and Babaji's response, reminded me of an incident that happened to me last December. There was a guy visiting SA who is apparently in the direct lineage of Lahiri Mahasaya (sp?) Yoganada lineage - who was giving initiation into Kriya Yoga. I had done Kriya yoga many years ago, but I have always doubted that I had received the genuine thing (and I don't really practice it anyway). SO, here's this man coming to Durban (quite close by) and I am able to get the real thing! I call to book my place and am told that this will happen over three evenings, but since the first evening is just an introduction and I live quite far away, I would only need to come to evening 2 and 3 - receive the initiation and the instruction. So the next day I am about to leave for evening 2 when I get a call from the organizer telling me that if I hadn't attended the first talk, I could not be initiated. Well, I was furious because I had been available and it was a blunder on the part of the organizer. Anyway, not to be deterred, I though this must be Babaji testing me. I can't give up this easily and I ask to speak to the teacher directly. I get put through to his secretary who says that it is not possible at all for Guruji to initiate me without attendance at the talk, blah blah, but he will be returning next year and it might then be possible for me to receive his blessings.
I went shortly thereafter to meditate and I heard Babaji speak to my heart just as he did to this Western devotee. "You are my devotee. Why would you choose to be initiated by anyone else. Whatever initiation you need I will give to you. I am responsible for your liberation. Why would you go to another?" It was so clear. I knew then that all I would ever need, Babaji would give me. Then came the e mail messages and someone asked about Kriya initiation and Babaji said you have been initiated many lifetimes ago and I knew he was speaking to me. Nothing more is necessary.

Last week this guru returned to SA to give more initiations and the organizer called me saying that he knew how much I wanted this last year and here was my opportunity. What joy to be able to say that I was no longer seeking, but that I had found my way. How much has happened in the last year. How deeply Babaji has entered my being since then. I celebrate the simplicity of the teachings of our beloved master and the love I feel in my heart.

"Observe the flow of emotions. Up and down. There is a constant movement, change. Don't attach to the emotions of the moment. Observe the moment, watch the emotion disappear. A new one takes its place. This is maya. That which is temporary, changes frequently, is maya. Don_t attach to maya. This is all temporary. The body, emotions, relationships, wealth, power, knowledge&always changing, temporary. Understand? This body I am in is temporary. It too has emotions constantly changing. I observe the moment of thought from its creation to its destruction. Now listen carefully. The movement of thought is time. Learn to observe thought and time become what it is. Maya. Created by thought, divided by thought. When the Higher Self observes, there is no movement, no time. There is the eternal now where the ground of being exists. The place of no-thing. This is where I, who am no-body, come out of. Do what your heart advises and all will be well.

This is information from December 16, 1998. I asked about our van, which was reaching 100k miles, which is usually a good time to sell with this type of van...and the rest is further instruction with regard to the website www.babaji.net. These were the beginning instructions about the website, and if you go there today, it's pretty miraculous what has 'sprouted' there after the planting of these seeds two years ago....

"As for your machine, your van. Fix it up and keep it for as long as you can. With care you can run it another two maybe three or more years. You will save much money in this way and reduce your debts.
"Think on this. You are trying to simplify your life and you are getting a new machine with very high payments. You have a machine. Take care of it. Lower your payments. Lower your debt. Increase your assets. Spend less than you earn. Simplify, simplify, simplify.This is my message. Truth, Simplicity and Love. Can you understand this.
"Whenever you have a question,a problem to be solved,a choice to be made, a path to take, place this in the context of Truth, Simplicity and Love."

"Others who want to help you can do so where they are. The beauty of this new technology is its simplicity. People move less, use less resources, can stay with their loved ones and build the community locally. "You will receive help from all over the world. Put out the message. Ask for help and it will come. Remember, the Great Revolution approaches. The few who seek refuge at the ashrams are not enough compared to the many who can receive the teachings through this new technology..."

There were no paragraphs and no spaces between end of sentence and beginning of new one. When you read it, it is difficult to separate the thoughts. They are like one continuous flow of information, totally inter-connected. I separated here just to make it easier to read. Please let me know what you 'get' from this information.

If many adopt the path of Truth ,Simplicity and Love, if there are millions of small and local ashrams rather than a few large ones, if many can communicate with each other through this new technology, then Babaji feels that many, yes many, will walk through the Great Fire to create a new world on the other side.

Now, at this time. Babaji speaks to you. I do not speak in this manner to anyone else at this time. For reasons which I cannot speak to yet, my energy, working through this body, is limited. Hi Friends!

This is the continuing story. I hope this helps to put the information into perspective. At the time of this email, I reported that the domain name was acquired and that the webmaster was ready to start working on things. I also reported that I had talked to some people about helping; some were enthused and some thought I was crazy to even consider such a project....and they thought I was even crazier if I told them who gave me the instruction to do this (and how it was received). Babaji gave me very important guidance about dealing with certain types of people. I think this applies to all of us. "Go with the go-ers..." and don't try to change or convince anyone, but also don't keep pouring energy down a drain... use your energy to serve humanity in meaningful ways. Seek out those who support you in your endeavors. Another lesson about this particular instance was about "going out and finding your service." This was an "inside job."

The assignment (and the Teacher) came to me without my going out and searching anywhere. When the student is ready, the teacher appears. Sometimes this epithet is hard to believe, but this is certainly an example of what happened to me.

"Babaji is very pleased with the creation of this project.You have taken my message into your heart and you have acted upon it. You have set into motion a great seed which will become a beacon for the transmission of the teachings...You will have more time because of this new technology and you will accomplish more in less time and less energy. I know it is important for you to conserve your energy. You have put out the word for help on this project and help is coming. Associate with those sentient humans who have an open mind. Do not diminish your energy with those who only take. This can wear out a body, even one that Babaji inhabits. Offer the teachings, share the message, but do not sacrifice yourself. If you intuitively feel that a human is taking your energy, that is you feel tired and drained after interacting, then no longer should you associate with that person......."

Dear Friends,

Today has been a special day for me (Dec. 9) because it was two years ago today that I received the very first email from Babaji. I must say today was a very strange mix of time warps and several visitors, a Fire Ceremony, and a 'warmth' in the air... I don't know how else to describe it. Did anyone else have kind of a surrealistic day like I did? Nothing seemed quite 'normal' today. Glancing at the news from Florida, I'm thinking this must have affected EVERYONE, not just me...
The sharing from the archives today is a continuation of the beginnings of the www.babaji.net website.

"Babaji's website will join devotees on the higher path. You will help each other through the great fire to create a beautiful world on the other side. You will serve and give to each other. You will energize each other so that your bodies become strong and you attain mental equanimity. This is the community that Babaji envisions. Not a community of takers, of selfishness, of egos on the lower path, but a community of servers, of selfless sentient humans living in Truth, Simplicity and Love and joining together to bring humans to a higher path so they may destroy the lower self and move this entire world into the realm of a great beacon that will transmit the teachings throughout the Universe. Now about this body. It is unlike the others. Very intelligent but very weak. This body will not last long but shall serve a great purpose. It has enabled me to plant the seed and I hope to experience at least the beginning of this new creation before moving on.

The way that Babaji describes the website here is certainly the way it is panning out for me. I have never had the privilege of connecting with so many people of like mind before, working together for the higher good.

We are working on some up-grades now that will be a great improvement in the website and its ability to reach more sentient beings with Babaji's message of hope. I have been experiencing so many inner changes since the healing meditation, I haven't been able to keep up with the continuing saga of the emails and how they came in the beginning....
Also, I'm up to an email right now that feels so personal and sacred I'm not sure I can put it on the list, so I am skipping that one and going to the next. It probably would not be such a big deal later, and maybe it's not a big deal now, but I know I have to honor my inner voice about this and offer what feels right in my heart.

Hang in there, folks, we will get back to the full story as we go along. Meanwhile, it looks like a shift in the indecisive energy (at least in the election process), so maybe that will be true for all of us... who knows?
I hope all is well with each of you, and thanks for the sharing of what happened with the healing meditation. There are more of those to send out also, as I can get them compiled.

Thank you very much for sharing this with me. I too read that story of Babaji - I think it was in "Autobiography of a Yogi" ? I take great encouragement from your positive perspective. I myself viewed the pain as growth in some form unfamiliar to me. Something akin to the pain a seed must go through while breaking it's shell, but then springs forth the new sapling. I thank Babaji if He has averted a future event in this way for me. His protection is like a sheath of light surrounding all of His children.
Now, after the headache, I feel like I'm in unknown territory - energy-wise. I'm probably still a little shook after it. I'm sure things will settle after a while. With Babaji with us, we've nothing to fear. I agree that the archives hold much wisdom and direction. It's good that we have each other to guide us to the messages that are for us.
